As a small project piece undertaken at university, I was addressed to create hand-drawn illustrations. I decided to draw portraits to challenge myself in an area I lack when it comes to drawing, faces. This project helped me to understand facial structure at different angles and delve into a style of portraiture that made a simple line art of a face more innovative and creative. Incorporating different vertical and horizontal lines was a fun and interesting way of drawing the viewers' eyes to certain aspects of the portrait. Moving the viewer’s visual all over the portrait. I am very thrilled and passionate about the portraits that I have designed, very much so for the Mandalorian Star Wars fan portrait I had sketched of the character Baby Yoda aka Grogu.
